GLASS V02 is here! Founder, Publisher, and Photo Editor Lewis Arnold is definitely a familiar name if you’re following us. Lewis is an award-winning surf photographer, filmmaker, and director/cinematographer of the internationally acclaimed documentary The Big Sea (which we screened in Malmö, Sweden last year with the entire crew on stage).

Also, guess what, for this second volume the Editorial Director and Editor is none other than our own Nordic Surfers Magazine editor Ronald de Leeuw. Ronald is a renowned and brillant surf journalist writing about surf culture and the people, places, and ideas surrounding it. We’re lucky to have him in our crew, but he’s also writing for other publications like Surfer’s Journal, Surfer’s Journal Japan and SHESEAS.

GLASS is an exhibition in print ; each volume is a limited-edition art book bringing together photographers, filmmakers, writers, and artists working inside and adjacent to surfing. The series is entirely self-published and carries no advertising. The founding ethos has not changed since the first volume: to develop an independent and uncompromising platform for meaningful work from dedicated, respected artists and thinkers from surf communities across the globe, and to deepen the long-standing relationship between surfing and creative media.
